The National Weather Service in Binghamton New York has issued a Flood Warnings for:
The Susquehanna River at Waverly/Sayre from Thursday afternoon to late Friday night… or until the warning is cancelled. At 9:45 am Wednesday the stage was 3.6 feet. Flood stage is 11.0 feet. Minor flooding is forecast. Forecast is a rise above flood stage Thursday morning and continue rising to near 12.3 feet by evening. The river will fall below flood stage late Friday afternoon. Impact at 11.0 feet: minor flooding begins mainly in the fields and some basements on the New York side of the river. East side Sayre is protected to 22 feet. Athens is protected to 26 feet.
The National Weather Service in Binghamton New York has also issued a Flood Warning for the Susquehanna River at Vestal from Thursday morning to late Thursday night… or until the warning is cancelled. At 9:15 am Wednesday the stage was 8.1 feet. Flood stage is 18.0 feet. Minor flooding is forecast. Forecast is a rise just above flood around noon Thursday to near 18.2 feet early in the afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage late in the day. Impact at 18.0 feet, the river overflows banks and lowland flooding begins within the flood plain.
