Village of Waverly officials will present the ‘Waverly Glen Master Plan’ later this morning. The plan outlines a series of improvement projects to upgrade the park’s infrastructure and amenities. The Village of Waverly was awarded $15,000 from the Mildred Faulkner Truman Foundation to hire a landscape architect to study the park and identify short- and long-term development projects. In July, the Village of Waverly applied to the Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation for funds to implement Phase 1 of the Master Plan. Phase 1 projects include paving and repairing the roadways and parking areas, upgrading bathrooms, repairing and improving the historic Upper Pavilion, adding pathways that connect all areas of the park, and adding amphitheater-style seating for events, concerts, and other performances. The public is encouraged to attend the presentation at 11AM this morning at the park’s Upper Pavilion.
