The Sayre Fire Department will soon be receiving 6 sets of ballistic vests and helmets as well as other ballistic gear. The purchase was approved by the Sayre Borough Council at a price tag of $10,000. The money was allocated to the Sayre Fire Department after a formal request was issued by Sayre Fire Chief Gil Crossett.
