Athens Borough police arrested a Sayre man on a charge of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer. 18-year-old Christian Firestine was also charged with driving without a valid license and failure to stop at a stop sign. According to police, Firestine refused to stop after an officer attempted to pull him over. He was arraigned and released from the Bradford County jail on non-monetary bail. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing next Tuesday.
