Athens Township police have charged a Sayre woman with theft by unlawful taking. 30-year-old Samantha Brown is also facing charges of receiving stolen property after police say she removed a deposit of close to $900 from the Arby’s Restaurant on Elmira Street in Athens, her former place of employment. The theft allegedly took place back on April 12th. She is due in court on May 20th for a preliminary hearing.
