Republican State Senator Fred Akshar has officially announced that he will run for reelection in November. The Senator made the announcement during a special “Spedies with the Senator” event which was open to the public at Chenango Valley State Park yesterday.
Senator Akshar represents State Senate District 52 which covers Broome, Tioga, and portions of Chenango and Delaware Counties. He will be running against Democrat Sharon Ball in the coming election.
