With just 1 week left in session, State Officials are working to get items that they have introduced, passed and signed into law. One of the items Senator Tom Libous is trying to move forward is the new ethics law he is co-sponsoring. He says that it will clamp down on ethics for legislators and create greater financial disclosure.

Libous added that this is something long overdue in cleaning up what’s going on in Albany. He says that a very strong message has to be sent that public officials are not above the law and if they break the law, they should be punished.
