New Push to Eliminate START-UP New York

There is a new push in Albany to end the START-UP New York economic development program. The republicans in the State Senate are proposing that $44.5 million in advertising money for START-UP be re-directed to advertising for tourism. The START-UP Program has been severely criticized, and it currently receives credit for creating only 756 jobs.
