BINGHAMTON — SUNY Broome has announced the launch of their new Lineworker Training Program in partnership with NYSEG and IBEW Local 10.
This program will allow those with no prior experience or training to become job ready for this in demand and highly skilled field.
Students will have both classroom and hands-on training at the NYSEG pole yard, complete a paid internship, and upon successful completion of the program they will have guaranteed interviews with NYSEG.
Information sessions began at SUNY Broome on Monday and will continue through February. As part of the application process, prospective students will have to complete a physical assessment at the NYSEG training yard, with the program beginning in April and running through October.
