Second Prison Employee Charged in Dannemora Escape

Another prison employee was arrested last night in connection with the escape of Richard Matt and David Sweat from an upstate N.Y. prison. Clinton Correctional Facility guard Gene Palmer was charged with promoting prison contraband, two counts of tampering with physical evidence, and one count of official misconduct. He had previously been suspended from his job and questioned by officials about his possible knowledge of the June 6th escape by Matt and Sweat. So far, 2,200 leads have been investigated.
