A Towanda man is set to appear in court after he is accused of making false reports to police. Back in December, 28-year-old Richard Johnson and his then-girlfriend reported that their home in Monroe Township had been broken into. The girlfriend reported that a TV had been stolen and Johnson said his Xbox was missing. Following an investigation by Pennsylvania State Police, it was determined that the burglary had been staged by Johnson. He is now set to appear in court next month on charges of making false reports to law enforcement.
