A 9-year-old boy from Dushore was struck by a car while he rode his bicycle Saturday evening in Athens Township. Around 8:32 Saturday night, a car was traveling east on McDuffey Street when the boy reportedly came out of Sammy Lane and rode right in front of the vehicle. The boy was transported to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre by ambulance. From there he was transported by emergency medical helicopter to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. The boy is reportedly home now and in stable condition. No citations or charges were filed against the driver the of the car.
