Vestal Executive Park Evacuated After Odor Is Reported

Around 12 people were evaluated after a report of an odor at the Vestal Executive Park.  Vestal Fire Chief Chris Lupold says maintenance staff mixed toilet cleaner and Drano in a water fountain when trying to unclog it.  The Vestal Fire Department and Broome County HAZMAT responded to 4100 Old Vestal Road around 3:30 yesterday.  The building was evacuated.  The chief says approximately 12 people were evaluated and one was sent to a hospital as a precaution.  Everyone has been allowed to return to their offices. The building was ventilated.
