A Tioga County, Pennsylvania man who had been reported missing following flooding earlier this month did not survive.
Knoxville resident David C. Murdock had been missing since Aug. 9. According to his obituary, he passed away unexpectedly while helping neighbors during the August flood.
The Pennsylvania State Police, local agencies and volunteers led search efforts for Murdock since he disappeared. Police have said he was swept away by flood waters that hit Tioga County, Pennsylvania due to Tropical Storm Debbie.
The community is invited to celebrate the life of David Murdock at the Knoxville Community Center on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
