The Binghamton City School District is looking to bringing its latest budget proposal to the public, and the latest numbers call for no layoffs. A year after being forced to eliminate 55 jobs, the district now has plans for five jobs to be absorbed through attrition with no layoffs. On Wednesday night, the district presented its latest budget at the West Middle School. New York State has guaranteed to give Binghamton at least $41.3 million in aid for the next school year. The final budget will be voted on in late May.
