Binghamton University students returned to class on Tuesday following a Sunday night murder on campus, subsequent investigation, and arrest. 20-year-old Michael Roque has entered a not guilty plea in the fatal stabbing of Joao Souza at Binghamton University. A public defender represented Roque, from Massapequa New York, which is on Long Island. Police believe that Roque targeted Souza, but police have not said why. Police apparently identified Roque as a suspect shortly after the stabbing was reported. After a search, Roque was found in his dorm room.
