Former Olympic bobsledder and Endwell native Randy Will spoke this morning to a group of about 150 students at Broome-Tioga BOCES. Will was a member of the 1988, 1992, and 1994 U.S. two-man bobsled teams, competed in the Olympics, and most recently serves as an assistant coach for the United States bobsled team after he served as a coach for the Australian bobsled team. Will contacted BOCES months ago to allow the auto-body repair program to paint on the finishing touches for one of the Australian team’s sleds, which is currently being used in the Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Will answered the students questions about his involvement in the Olympics, as well as questions about bobsledding in general. Will was given the opportunity to travel to Sochi for this year’s games, but instead chose to stay home with his family in Johnson City.
