The Maine-Endwell School district is taking steps to crack down on bullying. The district has implemented a new and improved way of reporting bullying to school administration. Using grant money, the school purchased a new web-based software called Sprigeo. The software allows parents, students, and victims of bullying to report such behavior by filling out an online form on their computer or mobile device. The form is then immediately sent by email to an administrator at the school. School officials say it is the easiest and most efficient way to ensure that bullying can be reported on a confidential basis, 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Sprigeo is already be used by several other school districts throughout the state.
