The Owego-Apalachin School District will hold the first of their two budget information meetings tonight at the Apalachin Elementary School. Superintendent Corey Green will present the particulars of the district’s proposed budget for next school year beginning at 6pm at AES. Residents are invited to attend and ask questions. A similar event will be held at 6pm Thursday at the OA District Office. The district’s proposed budget for next year calls for $45.9 million in spending and a 1.05 percent increase to the property tax levy. Residents will vote on the proposed budget May 16, two weeks from today.
