The Owego-Apalachin School District has announced that it is now accepting applications for its Universal Pre-Kindergarten program. The program is available to families living in the district. It’s funded by the state to provide four-year-olds with a better foundation as they prepare for kindergarten. The program’s sessions are 2.5 hours, with both a morning and afternoon session available, and are held at the Apalachin Elementary and Owego Free Academy. Transportation can be provided by the district TO the morning sessions and HOME from the afternoon sessions. In recent years, the Owego Apalachin pre-kindergarten program has had enough applicants that a waiting list has to be created, so please apply as soon as possible. Applications can be obtained by visiting the school’s website at O A C S D dot org, calling 687-6226, or stopping by the Administration Office at 5 Sheldon Guile Boulevard in Owego, the Apalachin Elementary School on Pennsylvania Avenue in Apalachin, or the current Owego Elementary School in Endicott.
