A spending plan for the Union-Endicott school district calls for no cuts to programs or staffing. The 2014-2015 spending plan was approved by the school board during a budget workshop Monday night. Now the vote will head to the residents of the district on May 20th, with a public hearing on the budget being held on May 13th. The plan calls for $76 million in spending, including a 2.49 percent increase to the tax levy. The district is planning to spend $1.8 million more in 2014-2015 than this past year, a 2.5 percent increase. The budget will have no program or staff cuts, including keeping after-school academic help, professional development for teachers, and winter track, programs that were added back to the district this past year.
