A small family farm got a big surprise Tuesday when their 5-year-old cow, named Bear, gave birth to three female calves. New Berlin Farmer Mikey Gorrell said he didn’t believe his father when he told him their cow had given birth to three healthy calves. He had walked up to the top of the hill at the Gorrell Family Farm when he found two at first, and then stumbled on a surprising third. Figures show the odds of birthing a successful set of female triplet cows is 1-in-8 million. Gorrell said the calves were delivered naturally on the farm, with no assistance.
