New York’s referendum to expand the number of casinos in the state will be the subject of a debate tonight at Syracuse University. Two panels will argue for each side and take audience questions and comments. Arguing for the referendum will be Ken Pokalsky of the Business Council of New York State and Marc Baez from Citizens for NYS Gaming Inc. Arguing against the referendum will be Stephen Shafer from the Coalition Against Gambling in New York and David Blankenhorn from the Institute for American Values.
