Deputies are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station in Norwich. The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Kwik Fill Gas Station on Route 12 after it was robbed at gunpoint just before 7 p.m. Sunday. Deputies said a man entered and exited the store through the front door. He displayed what appeared to be a handgun and left the store with an unknown amount of cash. The man fled on foot, and was last seen entering the plaza on the east side of Route 12. He is described as 6 feet tall and wearing a black hooded-sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark shoes, black and white gloves. His face was also covered in a white knit hat or a white face mask at the time of the robbery.
