Syracuse had their six-game home winning streak snapped by one of the nation’s top teams on Saturday. Clemson beat SU 49-14, as the Orange played in front of the largest crowd since 2000, with just under 49,000 fans. Clemson’s Tajh Boyd proved to be too much for the Orange, throwing for 455 yards and five touchdowns. SU’s Jerome Smith was able to rush for 125 yards on the day, including a 66-yard touchdown, but the number three team in the nation had too much offense. Syracuse looks to rebound this week as they hit the road and travel to NC State.
