Two cross country skiers were located safe after a nine-hour search in Tompkins County. The pair were reported missing at about 3PM on Saturday by a third person, who reported that at approximately noon, the three had departed from Hammond Hill Road to ski the trails of the Hammond Hill State Forest Park. She later lost contact with the other two city of Ithaca women. After nine hours, at about 12:15 AM, the two women, ages 43 and 56 were found safe by three searchers near Harford Road in the town of Caroline. Both women were evaluated by Dryden EMS and reunited with their friend.
