A spelling bee to raise money for the Tioga United Way is set for later this month in Owego. The deadline is this Friday to register for the second annual Adult Spelling Bee. Rather than standing alone on the stage asking the judge to use the word in a sentence, this competition features teams from 2 to 6 people. The Tioga United Way who gets the proceeds from the event to help its 30 partner agenies. The event is set for 7 pm on March 25 at the Owego Elks Lodge, but the deadline to register is this Friday.
