Ithaca Police responded to a burglary in progress Tuesday morning. Just before 6 o’clock a man was awakened by noises created by an unknown person inside his home on the 300 block of Pleasant Street. The man said he encountered the suspect, who then ran off. After a search Tuesday morning, police have arrested 48-year-old Angel Arce of Ithaca. Arce was taken to the Ithaca Police Department for booking, and during the booking process, property belonging to the victim was recovered in the pants pocket Arce was wearing. He has been charged with burglary, criminal possession of stolen property, and criminal mischief.
