A fire at a restaurant in Ithaca resulted in an entire building being evacuated. Both Ithaca Police and Ithaca Fire responded to Viva Taqueria at 101 North Aurora Street just after ten o’clock Friday night. Smoke and heat were reportedly coming from the walls of the restaurant and officials had to evacuate the kitchen and dining areas, along with the rest of the four-story building which is made of apartments and businesses. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire, and what sparked the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
