State Police investigators say that the school bus which flipped on its side on Saturday while transporting Owego-Apalachin volleyball players showed no signs of mechanical failure. Authorities are still unsure what exactly caused the accident, but say that witnesses have said that the bus just suddenly pulled to the right. No one was seriously injured. The volleyball team was travelling to a tournament north of Albany when the accident happened. The team is receiving treatment for minor injuries from the district’s athletic trainer and their game scheduled for tonight has been postponed. The district has made counselors available for the team.
