Over 1,200 soldiers are scheduled to return to Fort Drum following a nine month deployment in Afghanistan. Many of those soldiers are single. The Third Battalion’s 10th Combat Aviation Brigade’s Family Readiness Group is setting up 200 single rooms for the soldiers. The group says the goal is to help the soldiers feel more comfortable when they arrive. The Readiness Group is setting up the beds for the soldiers and providing them with welcome home baskets.
