The new space will allow for a staff to patient ratio of 2:1 and is equipped with special amenities such as on-site procedure room, blood gas lab and eight of the rooms will be negative pressure for infection control. It broke ground in Oct. 2013 and finished four months ahead of schedule. The new ICU will officially open on Dec. 14
