State Senate Passes Limits on Sex Offenders Use of Group Homes

The New York State Senate has just passed a bill which would make it illegal for registered sex offenders to live in state-run group homes with any individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities. This issue gained significant attention after it was discovered that registered sex offenders have been living in community residences across Western New York. The New York State Senate approved bill will now move to the state assembly for their approval before it can be passed into law.
