Syracuse Seeks To End Losing Streak Tonight

After starting the season a perfect 25-0, Syracuse has dropped its last two games, and will be looking to pick up a victory tonight against Maryland. Syracuse is in the midst of one of their toughest stretches of the season, including trips to Duke, Maryland, and the ACC’s new top team in Virginia. Maryland is 15-12 on the season and an even 7-7 in conference play. The Terps one of the rare teams in the ACC that has seen success against the Orange in years past, leading the all-time series 5 to 2. Those two wins for the Orange came in the last two meetings between these programs, including an 88-72 win in the Carrier Dome back in the 2008 NIT. Maryland has five players averaging double-figures in scoring on the season, led by Dez Well’s 14.8 points per game. Coach Boeheim and the Orange will look to get back in the win column tonight, tip-off is at seven o’clock, with coverage starting at 6:30 right here on News Radio WEBO.
