The Tioga County Fair is set to kick off tomorrow at Marvin Park in Owego. The revamped fair runs Tuesday through Saturday, with a number of attractions, starting with a New York Sire Stakes horse race tomorrow and wrapping up with a sportsman’s day on Saturday. Part of the fun on Saturday includes a lumberjack competition sponsored by Tioga State Bank. Gary Hammond stopped by the WEBO Morning Show today and talked about all the different events that will be held as part of the competition, including axe throws and single bucking competitions. Hammond also touched on the impressive tools that will be used in the lumberjack competition, including chainsaws boasting 40 horsepower. The Tioga County Fair runs the 8th through the 12th. General admission tickets start at $8 which includes free rides, and children 3 and under are free. For more information you can check out the fair online at tiogacofair.com.
