A decision on whether or not Tioga Downs will be awarded a full Las Vegas style casino license will be voted on by the State Gaming Commission on Tuesday. Tioga Downs received the Gaming Facility Location Board’s recommendation for the full license over 11 months ago in October of 2015. It was in October that the downs began construction on new facilities in anticipation of the board’s official approval. Whether or not Tioga Downs’ new facilities will accommodate patrons of a full Las Vegas style casino in Nichols will now be determined in just four days.
