Tioga Central Senior Ashley Tiffany won yesterday’s Scholarship Race at Tioga Downs. Ashley and trainer Michael Sinclair drove Spring House Mojo to victory on the 5/8 mile track, defeating four other local seniors and their horses for the victory. Vestal’s Alicia Cygan finished second, followed by Anna Raymond from Newark Valley, Union-Endicott’s Jacob Pylypciw, and Ethan Pryor from Owego. All five students received $1,700 scholarships from the track and local horsemen’s associations.
