Trial dates have been set for a former Elmira Corrections Officer who is also a suspect in the disappearance of his 35-year-old ex-girlfriend, Kelly Rothwell. 49-year-old David Perry will be tried on assault and fraud charges in two different counties. He is accused of attacking an inmate at the Steuben County Jail last year. That trial is scheduled to begin July 29th. Perry was in jail at the time for allegedly stealing $107,000 in state insurance by faking an injury. That grand larceny charge is being reviewed by the state appellate court in Rochester. He was also charged by Broome County for theft and insurance fraud, because that’s where the claims were processed. Perry has been scheduled for an August 19th trial in Broome County.
