Watkins Glen International has secured a new sponsor for its NASCAR Sprint Cup race this year. The motor racing track say that Cheez-It crackers has decided to put its name to the race. The race is set for the weekend of August 8th to the 11th and is a huge draw for NASCAR fans near and far. The race will be called the Cheez-It 355 at the Glen. WGI President Michael Printup made the announcement and welcomed Cheez-It and parent company Kelloggs to the event. It’s the company’s first race title sponsorship. This past year, the Watkins Glen Race did not have a title sponsor.
