The Hathorn Court area of Elmira continues to have its share of police calls. The latest was when a van struck a building and landed on its side shortly after noon Tuesday on Davis Street. The woman driving the van appeared shaken up but not badly injured, according to a witness. There was no one home at the time of the accident, but brick and a window on the front of the building were damaged. Elmira police and firefighters responded to the accident and NYSEG was called because of the structural damage to the building.
