A woman decided to pull out a machete and a stun gun during an argument over fireworks in a Kmart parking lot in Cortlandville on Monday. The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office was called to the parking lot just before 5pm for reports of a disturbance. When they arrived, they found that an employee of the Phantom Fireworks tent was arguing with three customers from the day before over the quality of fireworks that they had purchased. The employee – 19-year-old Tatianna Scott of Miami, FL – then removed a machete from a nearby vehicle and approached the unsatisfied customers with the machete in one hand and a stun gun in the other. Scott was charged with seven misdemeanors, including three counts of menacing, while two of the angry customers were charged with harassment. All three were released after processing.
