Corning, NY‐ It is with deep shock and sorrow, that today, Monday, May 30th, the C‐PP Area School District was informed of the
death of C‐PP Athletic Director, Mr. Tim Decker.
Mr. Decker had been in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Elmira, since Sunday, May 22nd, for treatment.
He remained in intensive care until he passed away early this morning.
Our thoughts are with Mr. Decker’s family at this very difficult time.
This sudden loss has also devastated the C‐PP District and the many who called Mr. Decker a mentor, teacher, administrator, coach, colleague and friend.
The District will have counselors and support services available for our students, faculty and staff beginning tomorrow morning
(Tuesday, May 31st) when school resumes.
Mr. Decker’s impact was felt far and wide as a beloved educator, and we will offer ongoing support as the District and community cope with this situation.
