There is renewed excitement for the hockey program in Elmira as the Jackals officially announced their new head coach Wednesday. Pat Bingham became the ninth head coach in the franchise’s history. Bingham has coached in the ECHL before with a team in West Virginia, where he earned the league’s coach of the year award during his first season. And he says he is excited to start the next chapter of his coaching career in Elmira. The season opens up for the Jackals October 14th at home against the Trenton Devils.
