Current New York Mets closer and former Binghamton Met Jeurys Familia will begin a rehab assignment with the Rumble Ponies tonight at NYSEG Stadium. The Ponies are beginning a series with the Portland Sea Dogs at 6:35pm. The 27-year-old Familia was suspended 15 games to start the season for a domestic violence incident. He began his rehab assignment Saturday in St. Lucie and returns to Binghamton for the first time since he started 17 games in 2011. Tickets for tonight’s game can be purchased online at www.bingrp.com, by calling 722-FUNN or at the box office. The Rumble Ponies lost two games to Erie over the weekend and were off yesterday for Easter.
