Former B-Met Jacob deGrom Named NL Rookie of the Year

New York Mets pitcher and former Binghamton Met Jacob deGrom was named the 2014 National League Rookie of the Year by the Baseball Writers Association of America
yesterday. deGrom earned 26 of 30 first-place votes. deGrom made 10 starts for the BMets in 2013. deGrom is the first Met to win the award since Dwight Gooden in 1984.
