Girls Lacrosse: OFA Wins on Clutch Plays by Emilie Edwards, Laurel Neira, and Kelsie Gooding

The Owego Free Academy girls Lacrosse team defeated Seton Catholic Central 14 – 13 in a thrilling Section 4 Class C semi final match.
Seton’s Taylor Farrell scored with 1:48 left to play to give her team a 13 – 12 lead, but OFA’s Laurel Neira came back with a goal 30 seconds later.
OFA’s Kelsie Gooding added a goal with 48 seconds to play to give Owego a 14 – 13 lead.
Seton had their chances in the last minute, but Owego goalie Emilie Edwards made a clutch save on Farrell with only 10 seconds to play.
OFA will play Maine-Endwell for the championship on Wednesday at 4:30PM.
Kelsie Gooding, Laurel Neira, and Alison Zlinsky had three goals each for Owego.
Taylor Farrell finished the game with four goals; Mariah Masciacelli and Amanda Fierle each had three goals.
Owego now has 8 wins and 7 losses on the season.
