The Maine-Endwell girls basketball team will continue through the state playoffs after the Lady Spartans defeated Wallkill, the third time they have knocked the Panthers out of the playoffs in four seasons. Heading into the game, Wallkill, who plays out of Section 9, was undefeated and the top ranked team in the state. Senior guard Victoria Dean scored a game-high 16 points, as M-E won the game convincingly, 47-26, at Johnson City High School. The Lady Spartans will advance to face Section 1 champion Peekskill on Saturday at noon at New Rochelle High School.
