The Owego Free Academy girls swim and dive team will represent Section IV in 9 of 12 events at the State Championships today and Saturday at Ithaca College. Representing Owego will be Devon McFadden, Sam Kuchinski, Chelsea Angulas, Marissa Scott, Jamie Zielinski, Alexa Gault, Summer Pierce, and Katie Scott. The competition will begin at 11:15 today, and 10:15 tomorrow morning. Also taking place tomorrow, Syracuse football returns to the Carrier Dome to host the Pittsburgh Panthers. With a win, Syracuse can move back to .500 and become bowl eligible for the third consecutive year.
