The Owego Free Academy Girls Volleyball team became Section 4 Champions over the weekend. After a shaky start, top-seeded Owego easily handled Maine-Endwell in three sets to win their third consecutive Class B title. Tioga beat previously undefeated Harpursville, 3-1, for their second straight Class D championship.
In High School Football action this weekend, Class AA Binghamton defeated Ithaca 54-24.
in Class A Vestal beat Corning 33-14. It was Union-Endicott over Horseheads 50-0. Vestal will play U-E Saturday.
In Class D, Tioga shut-out Spencer-Van Etten in semi-finals Saturday at Binghamton Alumni Stadium with a 54-0 victory. They’ll play Unatego this Saturday at noon.
In Class C, Waverly beat Newark Valley 25-20 at Ty Cobb Stadium in Endicott. Chenango Forks beat Lansing 48-26. Chenango Forks will play Waverly at Binghamton Alumni Stadium this weekend.
In Class B, Owego Free Academy comes up short against Maine-Endwell.
