After Owego Free Academy narrowly missed making the Southern Tier Athletic Conference semifinals, the team that made it over them was upended by Union-Endicott on Wednesday. The Tigers defeated Susquehanna Valley, setting up a meeting between the 14-3 U-E squad and 17-0 Norwich, who defeated Elmira 65-50. The STAC title game will be held at 7:45 Friday evening at the Binghamton University Events Center, following the girls title game between Owego Free Academy and Horseheads. If U-E were to win the championship, it would be the school’s first STAC title in boys basketball in 25 years.
